The Congregation Council is the decision-making body of the Church. It consists of eight persons elected by the congregation. The treasurer may be a ninth non-voting member. Some of the major responsibilities include:
- Establishing core values and vision documents for the congregation
- Providing oversight of strategies to accomplish that vision
- Managing financial affairs of the congregation
- Overseeing personnel matters
- Generally managing the affairs of the congregation

President – Bob Keener Bob Keener was born into a Trinity family. His great-grandfather, John Jefferson Feudner, joined the church about 1880 and his grandfather, Harry Feudner, was Trinity’s business manager when the current church was built. In addition to attending Princeton University and The University of Akron, Bob also worked on a Ph.D. at The University of Michigan. Currently, Bob is a part time faculty member at The University of Akron, teaching a variety of history courses. He also retains a foot in the business world by serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the HallStar Company, a specialty chemical manufacturer headquartered in Chicago. Over the years, he has served as president of the Summit County Historical Society and has been active with Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and the Akron Art Museum. In addition, he has served as a Trustee Emeritus of Old Trail School. Currently, Bob is President of the Cascade Locks Park Association and Treasurer of the Ohio Genealogical Society. |

Vice President – Pete Seltzer Pete Seltzer is Group Art Director with Advanstar Communications, an international business-to-business trade publisher and integrated marketing company. A graduate of Wittenberg University, he has been in the graphic design field for more than 20 years. As Secretary of Holy Trinity, he is to keep minutes of all meetings of the congregation and the Congregation Council, and he is responsible for the transmission of all official communications. He also serves on the Welcome Committee. |

Treasurer – Fletcher Carroll Fletcher Carroll has been a member of Holy Trinity for 30 years, serving on the Congregation Council for 11 years, most recently serving as president of Council. He has served on numerous committees and organizations throughout the years, including Chair of the Finance, Personnel and Usher Teams; and Chair of the Pastoral Search, Arts Research and Stewardship Committees. Fletcher is involved with the Family Promise program, serves as a communion assistant, lay reader, greeter, and participates in the Either Side of 40 Gang and Lutheran Lazy Loafers. |

Secretary - Sandy DeLuca Sandy DeLuca is the Homefinding Recruiter for Summit County Children Services. She has been employed with Children Services for more than 20 years.Sandy has been a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church since December 2009. She, and her son Alex, transferred from St. Mark Lutheran Church in Tallmadge. Since joining Holy Trinity, Sandy readily joined the Welcome Team to help coordinate the church’s advertising and marketing outreach initiatives. She chairs the Website Task Force and helped direct the development of a newly designed website, which launched May 2011. Sandy has also worked with the Worship & Music Team to develop a new Trinity Organ Series website which launched October 2011. |

Diane Chambers A life-long Lutheran, Diane Chambers joined Holy Trinity after her and her husband Don Parsisson moved to Akron in 1996. She is currently a member of the Church Council and the Equip Team and has taught Adult Forum and adult VBS. She is a member of the Holy Trinity book club and the women’s Bible study. She and Don are part of the Either Side of 40 Gang and frequently volunteer when Holy Trinity works at St. Bernards’ hot meals program. She served for four years on the internship committee. Diane moved from Minnesota to Ohio in 1989 to work on her Ph.D. at The Ohio State University. She works at Malone University in Canton where she is a professor of English and the Honors Program director. |

Kevin Heckel Kevin grew up in a mixed religion family and came to Holy Trinity with his then girlfriend, now wife, Angela. Kevin has celebrated his baptism, first communion, marriage and baptism of his three children at Holy Trinity. Angela’s family has been involved in Holy Trinity for many generations with her and Kevin’s three boys being the 5th generation to worship at Holy Trinity. Prior to being elected to Council President, Kevin has served in several ways including chairing the endowment committee, leading our Father’s Day Brunch and participating in many of the activities available at Holy Trinity. Kevin believes in building off the successes of our fore fathers and remains committed to serving and honoring our Lord. |

Joy Moxon Joy Moxon and her husband, Joe, have been members of Holy Trinity since 2003. She was elected to Council in 2008, serving as Council Secretary. Prior to serving on Council, she was a member of the Personnel Ministry Team. She have also been a member of Trinity Bells since 2003. Joy grew up in Perrysburg, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo. She’s a lifelong Lutheran – baptized, confirmed and married at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. She received her undergraduate degree in International Studies at Miami University, where she met Joe. Joy received her law degree from The University of Akron in 1999. After law school, she worked for the firm of Brouse McDowell in Akron. For the past four and a half years she have been employed as a corporate attorney of The Timken Company in Canton. Besides spending time with her two daughters, Beatrice and Harriet, she enjoys yoga, spending time outdoors, and her latest pursuit -- learning to play the banjo. |

Gary Radanof Gary Radanof is a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He previously served three terms on Church Council, serving one year as an officer, has served on the nominating committee, is presently a member of the Personnel Team (has been for several years), has served on the Finance and Property Team and former Evangelism Committee. A practicing attorney, Gary, a graduate of Ohio University and Akron University School of Law, has been a lay reader, greeter and has served as an usher for forty-six years. He has two married daughters (fourth generation members) and two grandsons. |

Linda Vowles Linda Vowles is the Director of Gift-Based Ministries. She joined Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in 1972. In her position, Linda chairs the Cabinet, shares information about the various team ministries with Council, and facilitates information between Congregation Council, staff and the Cabinet. Linda also encourages members to discover their spiritual gifts by completing a spiritual gifts inventory. She is responsible for assisting all new members through weekly involvement in the Inquirer's Classes, and acclimating them into the life of the congregation. |
